Employment and Consumer Advisory Service

Our employment relations and consumer legislation advisory team performs a key role for all New Zealand Retailers Association / New Zealand Sports Industry Association members.

Our Advisory Team offers members:

· Advice on all employment and consumer issues.

· Help when resolving employment and consumer disputes, assistance in preparing employment agreements, correspondence and other documentation.

· Advice on staff theft and shoplifting.

· A full range of circulars and easy-to-use guides to help you manage employment and business issues, plus our annual retail wages survey.

Our Advisory staff are experienced professionals with a wealth of practical knowledge and skill. They can assist with the practical application of legislation affecting retail and can help you resolve   problems to achieve the best for your business.

Wages and Salary Survey: An annual salary survey covering Shop Assistants, Representatives, Clerical and Warehouse staff. Regional and national data available.

Requirements for Credit/Replacement of Goods Book: The NZSIA has put together a book of the above forms to assist in the streamlining of goods returned by dealer members to suppliers for credit or replacement. They are available upon request from the NZSIA office. Limit of 3 per order.

Sell on Behalf Agreement Books: The NZSIA has put together this booklet to help streamline this procedure. Available on request.

Store Appraisal Service: See your store through another pair of eyes. BUSINESS MENTORS
 

The Business Mentors Service is ideal for NZ retailers. A business mentor provides a fresh perspective and can help you take a step back and see ‘the bigger picture’ of your business. They can assist in identifying business strengths and weaknesses and opportunities for growth, and provide independent and impartial suggestions for business improvement. Importantly, mentoring can  challenge you to go further, set new goals, and achieve better business results.

The Business Mentors service is free for up to 2 years of mentoring, apart from a one-off registration fee of $150 + GST.

To qualify to use the service, your business must be currently trading and you must have less than 25 employees.
